How Fill in a Work Experience Summary
Candidates for the CPPA or CPPM designations must document their work experience by submitting a
Work Experience Summary.
You must use the fill-in form to complete your Work Experience Summary
(Word formatted document):
NPMA Work Experience Summary
Description - Easy-to-use form that describes the position(s) you have held as they relate to property management.
Form includes:
- Job Title
- Company or Agency
- Time of Employment (Format the dates as noted on the form)
- A unique paragraph
of your experience and responsibilities in at least seven (7) of the functional areas (see below) of property management.

Format:
- You must use one of the fill-in forms to complete your Work Experience Summary.
- Make sure the certification level you are applying for (CPPA or CPPM) is checked.
- Save the completed form and email or fax to
certification@npma.org (813) 749-0812.
- Uniquely describe your responsibilities in each of the 7 functions you chose. Lack of information or repeated information will cause your summary to be sent back and resubmitted. The reviewer must have enough information to
adequately evalute your work summary.

Inventory
As the Government Property Administrator for my Company, I am responsible for creating the inventory plan, communicating and coordinating with other involved functional areas and implementing
the plan. I ensure that the physical inventory stays on track, results are reported timely and efficiently and any problems along the way are resolved. Once in receipt of all results, I reconcile the records and prepare the inventory certificates for signature
by program personnel. When all certificates are received, I report the total physical inventory results to Company Management as well as our Customer.

Movement and Transfer
As the Government Property Administrator for my Company, I am responsible for tracking all movements and transfers of Government Property. This includes acquisition and disposition via DD1149, donation with
a hand receipt, check-out with an employee responsibility form and relocation notice. I track transfers of Government property with DD1149 where applicable as well as mods to both losing and gaining contracts. Upon receipt of required documentation, I post
the updates to the records and provide an updated inventory list to program personnel as appropriate.
Please note: If you tested in retired curriculum and did not submit a work experience summary for CPPA or CPPM that was required, testing is required in the latest curriculum with an approved work experinece
summary.
