    Central Receiving & Warehouse Methods

    The correct receiving and warehousing of goods and materials is a crucial step in the procurement process to ensure the proper acceptance, identification, storage and delivery of goods purchased and paid for by a company.  The identification and documentation of assets should also be captured in these events to have accurate asset records.  This two day course will clarify and expand on the concepts of receiving, storage and warehousing operations including detailed examples and specific steps of transactions that must occur during receiving, warehousing and storage operations to have accurate and up-to-date records.

    Contracts for Property Managers

    Disposition Through PCARSS

    The Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) has a web application for government agencies to screen excess property for reuse called Plant Clearance Automated Reutilization Screening System (PCARSS). PCARSS is the only available automated system for the screening and disposition of excess government property in the possession of contractors.  This application allows acquiring agencies to access the latest information and the status of current requisitions.  This course will benefit DoD contractors, government property and federal acquisition personnel involved in property.

    Export Control Issues for the Property Manager

    Government regulations require contractors to establish and maintain processes for the control and accountability of government property in the possession of subcontractors. To satisfy these regulatory requirements, individuals responsible for subcontract property control processes must have an understanding of the contractual property control requirements.  This class will provide attendees with an  understanding of the contractor’s contractual requirements and responsibilities relating to subcontractor-held government-owned property.     Property Plan

    Contractual requirements of FAR 52.245-1 require contractors to submit a documented property plan describing processes, voluntary consensus standards and industry leading practices.  This course is essential for contractors who have not yet developed a plan and are required to do so, as well as property management professionals who are looking to develop a foundation on which to build a property management level of knowledge and expertise.

    Self Assessment 101

    Asset management is a process, a sequential process of steps designed to produce expected outcomes.  Each process produces data points that become metrics for evaluating effectiveness of the process when measured against the outcome.  Self-Assessment 101 is intended to help students recognize their processes and the data points that support internal business rules and ensures compliance to the requirements and government expectations found within the process outcome of FAR 52-245-1. Far 52.245-1 requires a self-assessment program as well as disclosing the content of such a program to the property administrator.  This class provides the foundation for developing such a plan based on unique business rules and processes.

    Understanding Unique Identification (UID) –The Clauses and Reporting Requirements for GFP

    This two-day course will provide you with an understanding of the government’s Unique Identification (UID) Program and the DFARS clauses on UID.  The course will provide the guidance and practical knowledge that contractors need to accomplish the initial report submittal to the IUID Registry and recognition of trigger events for subsequent reporting.  This class will benefit property professionals and those who are responsible for GFP reporting.  

    Note:  The student will be provided a worksheet to be completed prior to the start of class which will be utilized throughout the class. A computer will be provided onsite for use during the course.
